What age do you care for?

 

We welcome children from babies through to preschool age, supporting every stage of development with a calm, nurturing approach.

 

What are your opening times?

 

We are open from 7.30am -6.00pm and close for bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.

How we help your child to settle in to nursery

 

We understand that starting nursery is a big step. We offer a gentle settling-in process tailored to your child.  Children settle best when they feel safe, secure and familiar — we work closely with you to build that confidence.

 

Can parents stay during settling sessions?

 

To support a calm and confident start to the day, we encourage parents to say goodbye at the door. Our team will welcome your child in warmly and help them settle quickly.

 

What if my child is upset at drop-off?

 

This is very common, especially at the beginning. Our team will support your child with warmth, reassurance and comfort. We’ll also keep you updated so you feel confident and supported too.

 

Our Approach & Learning   - What is the Curiosity Approach?

 

The Curiosity Approach is inspired by the early years vision of creating calm, homely, meaningful learning environments. We focus on real experiences, open-ended resources, and helping children become confident, curious learners.

 

How do you support school readiness?

 

In our preschool room, school readiness is supported through:building independence and confidence, communication and listening skills, turn-taking and social development, early maths and literacy through playemotional wellbeing and resilience

We believe school readiness is about far more than worksheets — it’s about children feeling capable, secure and ready to learn.

 

Do you teach phonics?

 

We support early communication, listening skills and a love of stories every day. As children approach school age, we begin introducing early sound awareness through playful, age-appropriate activities.

 

Do you provide all meals and snacks?

We provide healthy snacks and meals, and support children to develop positive mealtime routines. Please contact us to discuss meals, menus and any dietary needs.

Do you provide nappies and wipes?

All wipes / nappies etc are provided by the nursery.

What happens if my child becomes unwell at nursery?

If your child becomes unwell, we will contact you straight away and keep them comfortable while they wait to be collected.

 

How will I know how my child’s day has been?

You will receive updates during the day on the Tapestry app and your child's keyworker will speak to you at the end of the day.

Can you cater for allergies or special diets?

 

Yes. We take dietary needs seriously and work closely with families to ensure children are safe and included. Please speak to us about allergies, intolerances, or cultural requirements.

 

What should my child bring to nursery?

 

We recommend bringing:  named changes of clothing (including socks, a  comforter (if used) and suitable outdoor clothing - we do have spares at nursery.

 

Support & Inclusion

 

My child has additional needs – can you support them?

 

Yes. We have an inclusive approach and work closely with families and, where appropriate, outside professionals to support children’s individual needs. Please contact us for a chat — we’re here to help.

 

Do you work with outside professionals?

 

Yes. With your consent, we can work with professionals such as speech and language therapists, health visitors, and inclusion services to ensure consistent support.

 

Funding, Fees & Places

 

Do you offer funded childcare hours?

 

Yes, funded hours may be available depending on your child’s age and eligibility. Please contact us and we’ll talk you through the options.

 

How do I apply for funded hours? 

You can apply through the government childcare funding system, and we can support you with what you need to do next.

 

How do I enquire about a place?

 

Simply contact us by phone, email or by filling in the form in the 'Contact Us' page.  We’ll talk through availability and invite you to book a visit to look around and meet the team.

Can I come and look around before deciding?

 

Absolutely — we encourage parents to visit. It’s the best way to see the rooms, ask questions and get a feel for our nursery.
